素材と技法へのこだわり
一見、熟れかけた本物のバナナに見えるかもしれません。しかしこれは、最高級家具にも使われる「ウォールナット」の塊から、削り出した木彫作品です。
ラッカー、漆（うるし）のレイヤー：着色に黄色のラッカーを施したのちに何層にも重ねた漆と石粉より、バナナ特有の有機的な皮膚感と、時間の経過を感じさせる深みを表現しました。
熟したバナナに現れる黒いシミ（シュガースポット）や、持った時のわずかな凹凸感は、時が経っても腐ることのない、木と漆のバナナ。
アートな「モノづくりへのこだわりと遊び心」の象徴として、ここに展示いたします！

Featuring the humble banana—a symbol of everyday life (though the original reference banana has long since been eaten and no longer exists)—this is a truly one-of-the-kind work of art.
In honor of the subject, the price is set at ¥87,700,000 (a play on the Japanese words for banana: ba-na-na / 8-7-7).
To be completely honest, I am so deeply attached to this piece that I would prefer to label it "Not for Sale." However, I have chosen to list it with this price tag. In the highly unlikely event that someone is willing to acquire it at this admittedly mad price, I will be more than happy to pass it on to its new home.
Passion for Materials and Technique
At first glance, it may look like a real, ripening banana. However, this is a wood carving sculpted from a solid block of Walnut, a premium wood typically reserved for high-end furniture.
Layers of Lacquer and Urushi: After an initial coat of yellow lacquer, multiple layers of traditional Urushi (Japanese lacquer) and stone powder were meticulously applied. This process recreates the organic skin texture of a banana and imparts a depth that evokes the passage of time.
The Beauty of Decay: The black "sugar spots" that appear on ripe bananas, along with the subtle textural contours felt when held, belong to a banana made of wood and Urushi—one that will never rot, no matter how much time passes.
